Mercer & Hole host an afternoon of croquet at The Hurlingham Club
Mercer & Hole’s partners entertained guests at The Hurlingham Club in Fulham yesterday.
Senior Partner, Paul Maberly hosted the event and welcomed clients to the private members club’s Cricket Pavillion. He was joined by fellow partners, Steve Smith, Gill Tallon, Lisa Spearman, Andy Crook, Chris Laughton, Peter Godfrey-Evans, Helen Cain, Liz Cuthbertson and Ross Lane.
Guests were able to play croquet in the glorious sunshine throughout the afternoon whilst donning Mercer & Hole caps and sipping on Pimms.
Competition was high and players quickly worked out that knocking each other out of the way was a good idea! The finalists were Richard Beavan from Boodle Hatfield partnered with Paul Maberly and David Niven from Penningtons Manches partnered with Steven Porter from Pinsent Masons. It was a close game, the winners on the day were Richard Beavan and Paul Maberly – congratulations! ‘Best shot of the day’ award was presented to Mike Pettit from Taylor Walton.
Later, everyone enjoyed a BBQ and drinks on the terrace, whilst admiring the spectacular grounds of Hurlingham, which is perched on the banks of the River Thames.
