Mercer & Hole donate to Milton Keynes Community Foundation
Mercer & Hole’s senior partner, Paul Maberly and fellow partner, Mike Joy, visited staff and volunteers at the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to thank the team for their support with the firm of Chartered Accountant’s ’ ‘25 Acts of Kindness’ campaign.
The campaign, to mark 25 years of the firm having an office in Milton Keynes, was devised to give something back to the local community and to encourage thoughtful gestures in-house. Mercer & Hole have enjoyed being a part of the Milton Keynes’ community since 1989, when they first opened their office in the centre of the town, and the milestone anniversary seemed the perfect opportunity to share the celebration with their fellow locals.
The firm worked with the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to identify local groups and charities, who would benefit from an ‘Act of Kindness’. Since then, partners and staff have carried out various tasks, which have benefitted the likes of Milton Keynes Foodbank, Dogs for the Disabled, CanDo MK, the elderly at the Irish Centre, amongst many others. Mercer & Hole’s partnership with the Foundation has also resulted in the Mercer & Hole contributing to events such as Milton Keynes Disability Awareness Day and MK Play Day.
Speaking of the firm’s relationship with the Milton Keynes Community Foundation, Paul said “It is great to be involved with the Milton Keynes Community Foundation which has made such a positive difference to the well being of the local community. I would like to thank all of the Milton Keynes Community Foundation team for their support which has allowed our ‘Acts of Kindness’ campaign to be a huge success.”
The firm has also made a donation to The Milton Keynes Community Foundation.
Danielle Porteous – Director of Development, MK Community Foundation said "We are delighted to be working with Mercer and Hole on their 25 Acts of Kindness as they celebrate 25 years of working in Milton Keynes. It’s fantastic to have the support of local companies as we fight to overcome child poverty in Milton Keynes with our Eat Sleep Play Love campaign. We ask that local businesses follow in Mercer and Hole’s footsteps supporting the local community to raise awareness and support of the issues families in Milton Keynes face."
There are still more ‘Acts of Kindness’ to come so please keep an eye on Mercer & Hole’s news to see what is happening next.
