Rosemary has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners since 1991 and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant. She specialised in accounting and taxation work for family trusts after completing her accountancy training in 1978, and over the years has built up a wealth of experience in understanding and interpreting trusts and of the tax implications of the various situations that can arise.

The majority of her work focuses on UK resident trusts, but she also has experience in dealing with trusts that are resident offshore or have non-UK domiciled settlors.

As well as dealing with planning issues as they arise, Rosemary enjoys ensuring that the routine aspects of the trusts under her care run as smoothly as possible and she has worked with some of her clients for over 20 years.

Rosemary began her career with Josolyn Layton-Bennett, moving to Binder Hamlyn in 1982, where she became a manager in 1984. She remained as a manager with Arthur Anderson when the two firms merged in 1994 and joined Mercer & Hole in 1997 when part of the private client work of Andersens was transferred. She became a director of Mercer & Hole Trustees Ltd in 1998.
