Mike joined Mercer & Hole in February 1985. He became a general practice partner in Sept 1986 and manages a wide portfolio of business clients. For many of these clients, Mike works as a business adviser covering all elements of business planning and business development. He also provides tax planning services, covering corporate and personal tax matters, and due diligence services. Amongst Mike’s portfolio of clients are start-ups, growing businesses, medium sized enterprises and subsidiaries of multinational corporations based in Europe and the USA.

In 1989 Mike helped to set up the Milton Keynes office of Mercer & Hole.

Mike originally trained with a top twenty firm of City accountants Edward Moore & Sons, now a part of BDO Stoy Hayward. During his time with the firm Mike became audit manager before joining industry and moving to Harp Lager, then a subsidiary of Guinness, as a management accountant. Having crossed to the ‘other side of the fence’, Mike broadened his experience at Guinness, particularly being involved with computer systems, forecasting and management accounts.

Mike is married with two children. A keen sportsman, he plays golf and tennis on a regular basis.
