01908 605552Deborah Hart’s work covers all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency. Her corporate work includes Liquidations (both solvent and insolvent), Administrations and Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs), together with investigation work seeking to recovery company assets. Her personal cases include bankruptcies and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) and she regularly advises individuals on the options available to deal with their financial problems. Deborah also sits on the firm’s Restructuring & Insolvency Technical Committee assisting with the development of the firm’s technical standards.
Deborah has worked on cases covering a wide range of industries, including the building industry, IT companies, IT training, an Internet Service Provider, pub management, bar/restaurants, television post-production work, and event management companies. She has also dealt with numerous manufacturing companies including electronics, mobile phones, wireless technology and food. Her work has included trading cases post-appointment to market and sell the businesses as going concerns. She has also dealt with pre-packaged sales of businesses where purchasers have been identified pre-Administration.
Deborah has been working in insolvency since 1996. She joined Mercer & Hole in 2003, initially working in the firm’s St Albans office, before moving to the Milton Keynes office in 2006 where she currently manages the Restructuring & Insolvency department. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in London with BDO Stoy Hayward in the Business Recovery department. Deborah qualified as a Certified Accountant in 2002, and passed her JIEB exams in 2004.
During her spare time, Deborah enjoys spending time with her young family and gardening.
