We aim to provide a comprehensive service covering employee benefits, business protection and personal financial planning issues for business owners.
We regularly advise sole traders, partnerships and limited companies but there is no ‘typical’ client profile. Our business clients range from small businesses where we deal directly with the owner/manager, to much larger firms where we work in partnership with a dedicated Human Resources department.
Each business has its own reasons for wanting to engage us. These might include advice in relation to:

- Employee benefits – group risk
- Contingency planning
- Succession planning
- Retirement planning for business owners
Depending on the areas in which you have sought advice from us, there may be a requirement for ongoing reviews or administrative support. This would most commonly apply to group risk schemes, which are renewed annually or bi-annually, and group/auto enrolment pension schemes to deal with corporate governance and legislative requirements.
Where ongoing support is required, our recommendation will include proposals for ongoing servicing so you know exactly what you can expect from us.
We are also happy to assist with ‘one off’ or single issues, or to tailor our services to meet your specific needs.
Our first meeting with you is always undertaken at the cost of our firm. This initial meeting allows us to discuss your objectives and reasons for seeking advice, and to assess the level of service required.
We will always obtain your agreement regarding our fees before undertaking any work on your behalf. This will include confirmation of the scope of work to be carried out, the amount of the fee, how it is structured (for example as a fixed fee, an hourly rate or percentage of premiums/amount invested) and how it is to be paid (e.g. invoice or deducted from your fund or investment).
Depending on the nature of the work being carried out, we may receive commission from a product provider if you purchase a financial product through us. This is particularly common for group risk schemes. Where commission is payable we will confirm this in our report and will pass on the full value to you by offsetting this against our fees. Should you prefer to work entirely on a commission structure then we will endeavour to facilitate this.
