We have selected both new and old charity partners to support in 2020. We have decided to take a different stance to having a firm-wide charity of the year and instead each of the four Mercer & Hole offices have chosen who they are going to support locally.

The charity champions, who co-ordinate charitable actions in each office, presented our teams with several worthwhile causes to choose from and the results present a diverse range of beneficiaries:

  • In London, our team voted to support a former Mercer & Hole Charity of the Year, Mind. Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. The charity also campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
  • In St Albans, our efforts will go into supporting another charity, which the firm has a history or working with, Open Door. The Open Door homelessness service is a night shelter and daytime drop-in for vulnerable people in St Albans. The unit provides accommodation for up to 12 people every night, as well as a hot meal.
  • In Rickmansworth, the team have chosen The Cure Parkinson’s Trust as the recipient of their charitable efforts. The charity funds research to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.
  • In Milton Keynes, we will be contributing to the good work of Harry’s Rainbow, which has been set up to help children and their families deal with the loss of a close family member.

We look forward to seeing all the activities to support fundraising and awareness for all our charities this year.
