Government launch ‘Big Society’ agenda
Nick Hurd (minister for Civil Society) has revealed ‘Building a Stronger Society’ which is a scheme derived to support charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises. The new strategy suggests, the Government, is the first call in helping civil society organisations to identify new ventures arising from the initiative to develop society by empowering local communities and reform of public services that underpins the ‘Big Society’. After attending the National Council of Voluntary Organisation’s head quarters in London, Nick Hurd announced he would seek advice the best approach to develop the infrastructure that provides advice, training and funding to front line groups.
