Summary of key business tax measures

The main corporation tax rate has been further cut from the current 20% down to 19% in 2017 and 18% in 2020.

The Annual Investment Allowance (the 100% relief on plant & machinery) is currently £500,000.  It was due to fall to £25,000 from 1 January 2016 but is now permanently set at £200,000 from that date.

The Employment Allowance is being increased by £1,000 to £3,000 from April 2016 in an attempt to create new jobs.
