Further anti-tax avoidance measures
Press reports indicate that, despite government’s denials, the UK is planning to impose its own version of the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act on its Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories. It is envisaged that such a disclosure regime could drastically reduce tax avoidance and evasion though the UK’s tax havens.
