VAT Reclaims - Foreign VAT

If you have visited other EU countries on business and made purchases there, or if you have simply been charged EU VAT on goods and services for your business, then you may be entitle to claim this back.
A deadline for such claims is fast approaching. For any EU VAT paid in 2011, claims can still be made up to the end of September this year, after which time you lose the right to make a claim. Now may be a good time to review foreign expenses such as hotels, travel and meals for business trips/conferences etc as well as anything purchased in the EU that carried local VAT.
We can assist you in reviewing your expenses to determine if a claim is worthwhile, and then preparing and submitting this claim. We advise that action be taken in August as we anticipate a rush of claims in September. We have considerable experience of making such claims, so if this affects you, please feel free to contact Richard Collier or Sam Snow in the VAT team on 01727 869 141 to discuss.
