HMRC has now published details, names and pictures of 20 individuals who are alleged to have left the UK while owing millions of pounds in tax. HMRC is asking for help in tracking the individuals down.
David Gauke, Exchequer Secretary, said "These criminals have collectively cost the taxpayer over £765 million and HMRC will pursue them relentlessly. "
This seems to be a further indication of HMRC’s resolve to clamp down on tax evasion.
