The annual allowance for tax relief on pension contributions now stands at £50,000 pa, but with scope to carry forward unused relief. HMRC has launched a new tool to help people keep track of what they have paid and how much of their annual allowance has been used. The calculator can be used to work out what unused annual allowance may be available to carry forward from up to three years before the 2011/12 tax year.
The Pension savings annual allowance calculator can be found here.
