EU effort on tax evasion

The EU has proposed measures to tackle tax fraud and evasion across its member states. The measures aim to improve information exchange between member states to provide taxpayers with better information on tax rules and tackle evasion and fraud. The problem is that Europe has different tax regimes which makes tackling tax fraud hard. This proposal is still very high level and, as yet, not detailed.
It does, though, seem to follow the current theme.
