Mercer & Hole’s partners were delighted to host friends of the firm to an afternoon of the refined, although not necessarily genteel, pastime of croquet at The Hurlingham Club. In a splendid London setting bordering the River Thames and with an experienced coach on hand to offer advice, an enjoyable yet competitive afternoon was had by all.
Congratulations to the winning team, Steve Smith and guest Tom Withyman, and in a close second place, after a nail biting golden hoop decider, Andy Crook with guest Stephen Jarvis. Also many happy returns to Carolyn Jones who was celebrating her birthday.
Post-match analysis was conducted over Pimms and a barbecue and the day concluded with enthusiasm all round for starting future summers in similar style. We hope that everyone who attended enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
